James K

I always love a change of pace. Today I did another photo-shoot for a Kitchen and Bathroom magazine on the Parade, in Norwood. It was a nice challenge, as the space in which I worked as limited...but it didn’t stop me from getting some solid results!
This was followed by a photo shoot for friends of their one-year old son.

James is a little rascal, but he was an angel for the shoot. I wish every child was so upbeat during a portrait session. Well done, James!!!

Leonie & Andrew

What a bunch of clowns! Leonie and Andrew were a hoot!

From running through a wheat field and shooting in a bi-plane’s aircraft hangar (both without forewarning or preparation), to smearing each other with wedding cake at the cake cutting; it was ALL about having fun, enjoying the day, and playing everything by ear. As a photographer, these are the days I live for. Nothing structured - just photographing whatever’s going on in a beautiful way...

Thank you so much, guys!....for finishing off the ’09 wedding season for me on such a high!!!

Saumya & Lachlan

I love Indian Weddings! Saumya looked like a goddess, and Lachlan was one of the most suave grooms I’ve seen in a while (arriving at the ceremony on horseback probably helped).

Despite the heavy, heavy, heavy rains - fun was had by all. Saumya and Lachlan certainly didn’t let it get to them, and everyone was prepared with umbrellas anyway.

Saumya & Lachlan: The Pre-Wedding Party!

Did I just have the best night in a while, or what?!?!
Saumya and Lachlan had a pre-wedding party for family and friends. The food was AWESOME! (I wish I could have stuck around to enjoy more of it) and the Henna work was magnificent!

There was so much energy...the place was buzzing! I guess Saumya and Lachlan know that everyone has a fair bit of energy, and thought they’d try to burn some off before Friday’s wedding! Something tells me there’ll be plenty left in the tank!

Mel & Steve

With a quiet start at home and at Longview Winery (beautiful apartments, by the way!), Mel and Steve had the sort of wedding day that I like to see. It was all about their friends and family. Simple elegance, relaxed and informal.

Despite the rain that followed the ceremony, we still managed to get some great shots around the grounds, both in the open and under cover - with one of the most enjoyable receptions I’ve experienced in quite some time! (Hey c’mon - they had a game of giant “Connect 4”...how can you not love that?!?!)

Kerry & Warren

The drinks were cold, the food refreshing, the company lively, and the sun....well, it was certainly out!
Kerry and Warren (and everyone else, for that matter) handled themselves great in the 40ºC heat! After a few minutes outside, we all forgot about the heat, and just made sure to get some great shots. As always, most were unposed, natural, and more fun for me to capture. I’m sure Kerry and Warren will like these more, also!

Toni & Michael

Another great couple....It was just about three things: Toni, Michael, and having a great day! Everything was just so casual and relaxed - it made the day a joy for everyone!
The eased tempo allowed us to get a bit more creative and arty, as well as allowing for all those great natural shots of people being themselves... A wonderful combination!
Thanks for a great day, guys!!!
